Arbor Crest Wine Cellar, Spokane Valley, WA
Located 2500 ft above Spokane Valley, Arbor Crest showcases award-winning wines, panoramic views, life-size checkers, and a wide range of live music.
This might be one of the Inland Northwestβs most breathtaking hidden gems.
Hidden in the hills
Tucked away in the hills near Upriver Drive, bring your camera and enjoy the switchbacks guiding you up the scenic route to experience this elegant and romantic deztination.
The large array of wine was appealing, offering:
5 tastings for $5
Glasses around $7
Select bottles under $20
I recommend the Riesling for white, while my travel partner for the day seemed to prefer the Blush.
A romantic ambiance
I was impressed with the selection of gifts, appetizers and wines, and the comfortable ambiance of wooden barrel tables and dark cherry walls surrounded in lush forest and a small waterfall.
A walk in the park
The option is open to roam the grounds of the winery and check out the amazing view with a glass of wine, or cozy up inside and play a game of bat gammon if the spring weather is a little chilly.
The wine cellar was filled with people dining and laughing while a wine cork popped in the background.
Crafted chess and checkerboards lay on the tables for entertainment, while a life-size checker board waited outside.
Feeling like a fairy tale
With stonewall castles that leave you feeling like youβre in a fairy tale and an excellent glass of wine in your hand, Arbor Crest Wine Cellar is sure to leave you feeling impressed β and even a little buzzed.
Drinks, dancing & live music
Though the hours are limited to daytime use for full advantage of the cascading views, Arbor Crest offers a live summer concert series every Thursday and Sunday night from May through September.
The musicians perform from 5:30 until sunset on a vineyard landscape that cannot be beat, overlooking the entire city of Spokane Valley from 450 feet up.
The music style lineup changes with every show, ranging from rock to blues with a small cover charge on Sundays and no cover Thursdays.

I found this place to be absolutely romantic, with amazing views and excellent wine.
After living in the Inland Northwest for almost 20 years, Iβm disappointed that I didnβt know this gem existed sooner.
This is my recommendation as best view point in the city.
