Vibra Emocional
Nichole Roxanne Roles, known for her soulful vocals and emotive performances, hails from Seattle, where her passion for singing blossomed at a young age. Later, she ventured to Virginia for her education, studying classical vocal performance at Radford University and pursuing a Masters in International Higher Education at Old Dominion University. Throughout her life, Nichole explored various paths and careers, until she found herself in Mexico yearning for something more musically fulfilling.
Determined to share her love for music, Nichole embarked on a search for like-minded musicians, preferably non-professionals, to create an open mic experience or perform heartwarming Christmas carols. This quest led her to Chris, an enthusiastic guitarist and fellow learner. As they rehearsed and performed together, they soon joined forces with another local musician and added a drummer, solidifying the band's lineup.
The name "Vibra Emocional" was born from the very essence of Nichole's musical approach - delivering emotional, heartfelt performances that resonate deeply with audiences. With a focus on exploring emotive themes through their music, Vibra Emocional seeks to evoke feelings and connect with listeners on a profound level. This Mexican-based band effortlessly blends a touch of Spanish charm into their sound, creating an unforgettable musical experience that leaves a lasting impact.
Christian Sandgaard Thuesen
Sonic Sunsets
Hailing from Denmark, Christian Sandgaard Thuesen is no stranger to the world of music. Drawn to the allure of sunny Mexico, he made the bold move in 2008, trading his home country for vibrant La Cruz. Christian's musical journey began in garage bands and his admiration for Sonic Youth, but it was in Mexico that he would discover his true musical direction.
In a serendipitous encounter, Christian crossed paths with Nichole, whose powerful opera-like voice perfectly complemented his relaxed, grunge-inspired guitar playing. This fortuitous collaboration sparked their musical ambitions, propelling them from a few songs to forming a full-fledged band.
The unique fusion of their styles has given birth to a distinctive sound that can be described as attention-grabbing - a captivating blend of powerful operatic vocals, grunge-infused guitar, and an infusion of lesser-known pop gems alongside classic hits from the last few decades.
